Last month, we released Kodi v18 for OSMC devices. Since then, we've been working on a number of improvements and bug fixes to keep things running smoothly. Here's what's new:

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue which caused repeat presses to occur frequently when using some IR receivers
  • Fixed an issue on Vero 4K / 4K + where pausing a video could result in a still image for several seconds after resuming playback
  • Fixed an issue which could prevent some skin elements from being visible if using Kodi's Profiles feature
  • Fixed an issue which prevented the MySQL configuration section in My OSMC from working properly
  • Fixed an issue which could prevent Vero 4K / 4K + from being suspended
  • Fixed an issue with Wait for Network not working with a static IP address configuration

Improving the user experience

  • Improved remote control response performance for a wide variety of remotes
  • Re-added support for remote controllers which use the Stop key in Kodi
  • Improved playback reliability of M3U streams (IPTV)
  • Improved Live TV performance on Vero 4K / 4K +
  • Removed erroneous "source too slow message" which could occur during playback of high bitrate material

Miscellaneous

  • Updated SQLite to 3.28
  • Updated TVHeadend to 4.28
  • Updated to top of Kodi Leia tree

Wrap up

To get the latest and greatest version of OSMC, simply head to My OSMC -> Updater and check for updates manually on your exising OSMC set up. Of course — if you have updates scheduled automatically you should receive an update notification shortly.
