OSMC's May update is here with Dolby Vision FEL support
Today we're happy to release OSMC's May 2026 update for all supported devices. This update continues to bring Kodi v21.3 as Kodi v22 becomes nearer to release.
Dolby Vision FEL support
Recently, we announced test builds that added Dolby Vision FEL support. Today, we're happy to make Dolby Vision FEL support for all Vero V users out of the box without any need to install any special test builds.
Shortly, we'll be updating the Wiki and product pages to reflect these changes.
On the OSMC side, we've made a number of changes to keep things running smoothly:
Bug fixes
- Fix audio issues at 44.1Khz when playing 4K video on Vero V
- Fix some connectivity issues with WiFi using ConnMan
Improving the user experience
- Vero V: Allow YUV for VESA displays that support it
- Vero V: Added Dolby Vision FEL support
- Add
/boot/cmdline.txtsupport for Vero V to allow customising boot parameters - Allow user to disable splash screen when booting Vero V for more verbose boot
