Encouraging involvement in development

We have noticed an increasing number of users interested in the development process. That's great! We've been working on reducing the barriers to entry so that anyone can help be a part of making OSMC better. We're now working on a Development section of our Wiki. Over the next few weeks, we'll be adding more resources and helpful advice on how to get started. As always -- if you have any questions, we'll be happy to cover them in the forums.

OSMC turned two

Just over two weeks ago, we celebrated the first commit to the OSMC projected which started it all. It then took one year of hard work for us to reach a final, stable version of OSMC. We've been busy ever since. We wanted to thank all OSMC users, developers and everyone that helps make the project better every day. We're just getting started, and there's still a lot to work on. Shortly, we'll be writing about some of the changes and improvements we're working on behind the scenes, and what we have in store.

Wrap up

To get the latest and greatest version of OSMC, simply head to My OSMC -> Updater and check for updates manually on your exising OSMC set up. Of course — if you have updates scheduled automatically you should receive an update notification shortly.

If you enjoy OSMC, please follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook and consider making a donation if you would like to support further development.

You may also wish to check out our newly refreshed Store, which offers a wide variety of high quality products which will help you get the best from your OSMC setup. Our highly praised Vero 2 is on sale until the end of the weekend!

Enjoy!
