At the end of the Summer, we released our largest update ever delivering a new version of Kodi, an improved video stack, support for new Raspberry Pi models and a large number of improvements and fixes.

Since then, we've been working hard to deliver another significant update. This update also features Kodi v19.3 which has a number of bug fixes. One of the more significant changes in Kodi v19.3 includes a fix which improves the playback of videos which have high-bitrate TrueHD tracks. This would previously result in drop-outs when playing back some titles with HD audio passthrough enabled.

Here's what's new:

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue which may result in the display output being set to 1080i on Vero 4K / 4K + when starting up
  • Fixed an issue which prevented newer versions of the Widevine library from working on OSMC
  • Fix an issue where Kodi may fall back to a lower resolution if a TV or AVR is put in standby on Vero 4K / 4K +
  • Fix an issue which prevented enabling audio DACs for Raspberry Pi via My OSMC
  • Fix an issue where 3D mode switching would not fall back to 2D/monoscopic on Vero 4K / 4K +
  • Fixed some issues with H264 playback on Vero 4K / 4K +
  • Fixed an issue which prevented Kodi being compiled for Raspberry Pi models
  • Fix an issue where a corrupt bootloader environment could cause issues even after re-installing OSMC on Vero 4K / 4K +
  • Fixed an issue which prevented Raspberry Pi's from being booted headlessly
  • Fixed an issue which prevented the My OSMC Backup and Restore functionality from working
  • Fixed some issues with the playback of IPTV streams
